  • 1. Admission forms cum prospectus for the admission to HS 1st year (Arts, Science and Commerce) and TDC 1st semester (Arts, Science and Commerce) for the session 2018-19 will be available in the college Website of Diphu Government College i.e. on www.diphugovernmentcollege.org from 1st June 2018 to 7th June 2018 till 5 P.M.
  • 2. All submissions in respect of admission to any class and stream MUST BE DONE ONLINE (To understand the application process click here ) by paying an amount of Rs. 250.00 (Rupees Two hundred fifty only) as an application fee within the stipulated time. Prospectus will be made available online totally at free of cost.
  • 3.The list of the selected candidates will be notified in the college notice board or college website as per Admission Schedule.
  • 4. If a candidate fails to report on the day of admission as per list and schedule, his/her candidature will be forfeited.
  • 5. If any scheduled date of the admission is hampered by any unavoidable circumstances, the college authority will notify a date later on.
  • 6. The decision of the ADMISSION COMMITTEE will be binding and final.
  • 7. Online submitted forms will be scrutinized by the Admission Committee and separate finalized list of candidates will be prepare stream wise and class wise, and accordingly called for interview. The Office of the Principal, DGC will notify the list of selected candidates for interview with dates and time to report physically before the Interview and Admission Board.
  • 8. Selected candidates are required to produce ALL THE CERTIFICATES AND DOCUMENTS IN ORIGINAL at the time of interview and admission for verification.
  • 9. Important notes: On the day of admission, the selected candidates must submit self-attested photocopy of the each of the following documents: a) Certificate and Mark sheet of last qualifying examination. b) Caste Certificate (If required). c) Age certificate (HSLC Admit Card/HSLC Original Certificate/Birth Certificate) d) Those who have passed last qualifying examination from outside Assam are to produce PRC/Trading License/Ration Card etc. issued from the DC or SDO (Civil). Those who are not permanent residents of Assam, but their parents are working in Assam/doing business, should produce photocopy of a certificate issued from the place of employment/ration card etc. e) Candidates applying under “Co-curricular Activities Quota” should attach Certificate(s) issued by authorities not below the rank of District Officer. f) GAP CERTIFICATE in ORIGINAL (if required).
  • 10. Admission fee will be received totally on digital mode. No cash will be accepted under any circumstances. RTGS will be accepted. Amount of admission fees for different classes and streams are available in the college prospectus ( Section II)
  • 11. Selected candidates must bring one ATM/CREDIT/DEBIT card of any bank either of his/her own or his/her parents or legal guardian accompanying his/her ward at the time of admission.
  • 12. Seeking admission with forged & fabricated documents will be very strictly dealt with under the law with due action.

About College

  • Diphu Government College is the only NAAC accredited higher educational institution in Karbi Anglong District of Assam. It was due to the pioneering efforts and visions of Lt. Chatra Sing Teron, Lt. Sai Sai Terang, Lt. Jogendra Nath Goswami, Lt. Dhoniram Rongpi, Lt. Joysing Doloi, Lt. Sar Rongpi and Lt. Padma Kanta Barua, that the college came to be formally inaugurated on 23rd June,1964. The College being a venture Arts College and beginning with only seven students and five teachers was taken over by the Government of Assam in the year 1967. A lot of combined creative efforts had been put together by its noble founders along with the founder Principal P.K. Bhuyan and the student leaders in converting the college into a Government College.
